Mexican Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 Tbsp Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Spice World Easy Onion
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 jar of chunky salsa
  • 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable stock

Instructions

  • In a pan over medium-high heat, drizzle in vegetable oil. Move the pan in a motion that allows the oil to coat it evenly.
  • Add jasmine rice.
  • Stir frequently and add Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic and Spice World Easy Onion. Stay by the oven; you do not want to burn the rice.
  • Fry until slightly brown, being careful to move the pan away from the heat as needed while stirring.
  • Add broth and salsa.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Turn the heat to low and simmer with the lid on.
  • Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
  • Fluff rice and serve.
