75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1949

The company was originally founded as “A&A Garlic Company,” named after Andy “Pops” and Ann Caneza.

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1956

Pops’ original Station Wagon was a 1956 Chevy Bel Air. After that, he bought a 1963 Buick LeSabre.

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1960

Our first packing facility was built in New Orleans, Louisiana. It’s also our founder, Andy “Pops” Caneza’s hometown.

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1964

In 1964, we purchased our first machine to bag garlic. Up until then, everything was hand-packed!

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1981

Spice World moved headquarters from New Orleans to Orlando and continued our growth there. Today, it remains the base of our flavorful operations.

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1987

Spice World launched minced garlic in a jar, changing the way consumers cook with and enjoy garlic. It was the first jarred garlic on the market. 

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 1991

Spice World opened a packing, processing, and distribution facility in Coalinga, CA. California is where we grow our largest percentage of garlic, even today!

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 2010

Spice World launched minced garlic in a squeezable bottle. It was the first squeezable garlic in the market!

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 2012

Spice World launched minced ginger in a squeezable bottle. It was the first squeezable ginger in the market!

75 YEARS FUN FACT: 2022

Ready-to-Use Chopped Easy Onion was launched with the promise of “No Peeling. No Chopping. No Tears!”

Spice World is donating to the Second Harvest Food Bank of South Louisiana, located in the birthplace of Spice World, New Orleans, giving back to a community close to our roots.

Orlando

Spice World is donating to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, serving families at the heart of our headquarters in Orlando.

Coalinga

Spice World is donating to the Central California Food Bank, supporting the region where most of our flavorful garlic is grown in the U.S., Coalinga, CA.
