A Legacy of Flavor and Giving Back to our Communities

Food insecurity affects over 44 million Americans annually. Spice World has been dedicated to supporting local communities by volunteering, donating resources, and contributing $75,000 in meals in 2024 to feeding programs in New Orleans, Orlando, and Coalinga—three places close to our heart.

Together, we’ve served up a greater impact!

Cristo Rey Orlando High School — Orlando, Florida

Spice World was founded in 1949 by Andy “Pops” Caneza, and his legacy lives on today through the Andrew P. Caneza Foundation. His foundation has been a key partner of Cristo Rey Orlando, and Spice World is thrilled to be a part of this great cause, having donated $5,000 to Cristo Rey to support their breakfast and lunch programs when the school is set to open on August 11, 202576 years to the day since Spice World was founded!

Cristo Rey Orlando High School believes that within every student, there is greatness waiting to be discovered. Through a blend of faith-based, college preparatory education and hands-on work experience, Cristo Rey equips young people from underserved communities to dream big, work hard, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Second Harvest Food Bank of South Louisiana — New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans, the birthplace of Spice World, will always hold a special place in our hearts. Giving back here has honored our roots and helped to support a community essential to our story.

Second Harvest Food Bank of South Louisiana hosts Summer Feeding Programs that offer schools, community centers, camps, and more hot meals and healthy snacks to kids in need. These programs feed over 2,500 children and are expanding to reach nearly 5,200, ensuring kids have access to nutritious meals when school is out.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida — Orlando, Florida

Orlando is where our headquarters thrive, and after giving back, we have been able to support a community that has always supported us.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida prepares, packages, and distributes nutritious meals free of charge to kids and teens. Their Kids Café and Summer Food Service programs ensure kids receive essential meals after school and during summer months, making a difference in the lives of thousands.

Central California Food Bank —
Coalinga, California

Coalinga grows much of our garlic, making it a cornerstone of our success. We’re so fortunate to have given back to a community that has given us so much.

Central California Food Bank is dedicated in the pursuit of ending hunger for the people of Central California through vital food distributions and a Mobile Pantry to reduce childhood hunger.

Community Food Bank of New Jersey — Hillside, New Jersey

Working with Wakefern and JOH, we joined the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to repack over 6,000 pounds of food for families in need. This food bank has provided over 90 million meals in the past year.

Spice World also donated $7,500 in memory of Mariane Santo, a long-time Wakefern employee, as part of our 75th-anniversary goal to combat food insecurity nationwide.

Feeding America West Michigan — West Michigan & the Upper Peninsula

Spice World proudly supported Feeding America West Michigan in their mission to provide nutritious meals to those facing hunger across West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

We contributed to an event to bring essential food resources to underserved communities, uplifting families and ensuring children receive the nutrition they need to grow and thrive. This effort was part of Feeding America West Michigan’s larger initiative to distribute over 23 million meals annually to around 800 partners, spanning 40 counties in the region.

Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive — Orlando, Florida

Through our partnership in the Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, we‘ve been able to give back to Orlando and support local families during the holiday season.

In collaboration with local organizations like The City of Orlando, Orlando City Soccer Club, Orlando Pride, Publix, and The Salvation Army, we’ve helped distribute Thanksgiving meals to Orlando’s District 5 community, volunteering and contributing socks and product coupons to those in need.

Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida — Orlando, Florida

Our partnerships with The Boys and Girls Club, Academic Culinary Arts Academy, and Orlando City Soccer Club have been focused on teaching children in Pine Hill how to shop, cook, and eat healthily on a budget. We‘re proud to support these efforts, having donated backpacks and products to students.
