Luckily, this Chicken Garlic Ginger Healing Soup can help combat these annoying illnesses by bolstering your immune system in a delicious way! Ingredients You Will Need:

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan.
  • Add in the Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic, Ginger, and Chopped Easy Onion.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add cayenne pepper, and salt & pepper. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add the chicken broth, water, chicken, and carrots.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes (feel free to cook on low for up to an hour).
  • Add the spinach and let it cook for 5 minutes just before serving.

Roasted Garlic Soup

Preheat the oven to 375ºF.

To roast the garlic: 

  • Separate the two Spice World Fresh Garlic bulbs into cloves. Place them unpeeled in an ovenproof bowl and add the oil, a pinch of salt, and a little black pepper.
  • Mix together so that all the garlic cloves are well covered in oil. Tightly seal the bowl with silver foil and roast for 40–45 minutes.
  • Allow to cool, then squeeze out the flesh from each clove, discarding the skins.

 

To make the soup: 

  • Caramelize the Spice World Chopped Easy Onion in the oil until golden brown.
  • Add the thyme and the Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic and continue to cook on low heat for 3–4 minutes.
  • Add in the roasted Spice World Garlic first and then the vegetable stock. Stir and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and simmer gently, partially covered, for about 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Take off the heat and blend the soup until completely smooth. Season to taste. Drizzle a little garlic oil over the top for an even richer flavor.

French Onion Soup

It’s hard to beat a classic like this French Onion Soup recipe on a chilly night. Full of a rich flavor made from sweet, caramelized onions and a savory broth, each bite is sure to delight.   • Turn the burner on, place the butter in the frying pan, and add the Spice World Chopped Easy Onion.
  • Continually move the onions around until they are soft and golden brown. When the onions have done so, add in the Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic and mix.
  • In a large pan, boil water. Add stock cubes, herbs, sugar, salt, and pepper. Then add the onion and garlic mix.
  • Cut up the potatoes and add them to the pan, and then do the same with the carrot.
  • Simmer on low heat for an hour.
  • Use a hand-held blender or place the soup into a standalone blender and blend until thick. Then simmer for 10 more minutes.
  • It is ready to serve. Some great sides and toppings could be toasted bread or melted cheese.
