Garlic Butter Rice

Add some rich flavor to your plate and spice up your rice with the addition of garlic, butter, and chicken stock. This rice is a tasty foundation for any meal. Try it with our Ginger Pork recipe!

  1. In a saucepan, heat up canola oil over medium heat and fry sliced garlic cloves. Once golden and crispy, transfer them onto a paper towel to drain.
  2. In another saucepan, melt 2 Tbsp of butter over medium heat and add minced garlic. Cook until the garlic turns a light golden brown and the butter is well infused with garlic flavor.
  3. Add white rice and let it toast in the butter for a couple of minutes. Pour in chicken stock and cover with a lid to let the rice cook for 12–15 minutes, until all the liquid is absorbed by the rice.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork, stir in the remaining 2 Tbsp of butter, and top with scallions.
