Garlic Butter Rice

Add some rich flavor to your plate and spice up your rice with the addition of garlic, butter, and chicken stock. This rice is a tasty foundation for any meal. Try it with our Ginger Pork recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 6 cloves Spice World Peeled Garlic, sliced
  • 2 ½ tsp Spice World Ready-to-Use Minced Garlic
  • 4 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 ½ cup white rice
  • 1 ½ cup chicken stock
  • ¼ cup scallions

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat up canola oil over medium heat and fry sliced garlic cloves. Once golden and crispy, transfer them onto a paper towel to drain.
  • In another saucepan, melt 2 Tbsp of butter over medium heat and add minced garlic. Cook until garlic turns a light golden brown and butter is well infused with garlic flavor.
  • Add white rice and let it toast in the butter for a couple of minutes. Pour in chicken stock and cover with a lid to let rice cook for 12-15 minutes, until all liquid is absorbed by the rice.
  • Once rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and stir in remaining 2 Tbsp of butter and top with scallions.
