Roasted Balsamic Shallots
Roasted shallots provide a mellow, sweet taste which is complemented by the balsamic vinegar. This is the perfect side when you’re thinking vegetables, but elevated.
Total Time: 45 minutes
1 pound Spice World whole shallots, peeled and halved
3 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Salt & Pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Melt butter in a large oven-safe sauté pan over medium heat. Add shallots and sugar and toss to coat. Cook until the shallots begin to brown.
Add balsamic vinegar to pan and toss. Transfer pan to oven and roast the shallots until tender and caramelized, 20-30 minutes.
Salt and pepper to taste.
